200-MILE CHALLENGE
200-MILE CHALLENGE RULES
The challenge is to log 200 trail miles on Strava between June 1 at 12:01 a.m. and June 30 11:59 p.m. We will strictly enforce all of the rules.
Those who complete the 200 mile challenge will receive a t-shirt and an entry to the drawing that will be held on July 20 at the practice race in Eagle Mountain. Riders must be present for the drawing, but all finishers will get the t-shirt.
This is an optional activity. It will take extra effort. But it will be worth it.
By joining this challenge, you agree to the following:
1
THESE MUST BE TRAIL MILES — only 25 road miles TO or FROM a mountain bike ride can be counted.
2
NO SHUTTLE MILES — your riding elevation gain must be equal to or greater than elevation lost each ride.
3
NO E-BIKE MILES — this goes for both riders and adult ride leaders.
4
NO SHARING MILES / RIDES — all miles must be on Strava (make sure your tracker is charged and started each ride)!
How to submit your miles:
At month end, send a screenshot of your monthly stats to Megan and Mindy in the TeamSnap chat. There are two ways to tally and verify your monthly mileage in Strava, depending on whether you are a paid Strava subscriber or not.
If you are a paid Strava subscriber:
Strava will keep a tally of your monthly mileage in the Strava mobile app — check the “You” tab and scroll down to “Monthly Activities” where you can “See more of your June stats….” Send a screen shot of your Mountain Bike Ride info.
If you are not a paid Strava subscriber:
Join Strava’s “June Ride 200K Challenge” and your distance will be tallied for you. Pay attention to your MILES when using this method. Strava’s challenge is for 200 kilometers…you’ll need to ride 322 kilometers to equal 200 miles.
