2025 REGISTER TO RIDE!!!
Welcome! Every season the team welcomes many first-time and returning riders. Whether you’re new to the team or an old pro, every student needs to complete the student registration process each year. The registration process has four steps which must be completed by the end of the day for each listed deadline:
STEP 1 • Register with the team (by March 31, 2025)
STEP 2 • Order the team uniform (by April 4, 2025)
STEP 3 • Register with the league (by April 30, 2025)
STEP 4 • Download the TeamSnap mobile app (by ASAP)
Each of these steps, and links to the appropriate places to complete each step, are outlined in detail below. As always, let us know if you have any questions. We’re excited to ride with you.
STEP 1:
Register with the Alta High School Mountain Bike Team (by March 31, 2025)
To be on the team every student athlete is required to register on TeamSnap. Click that link and the TeamSnap website will guide you through the registration process. The team uses TeamSnap for registration, as well as throughout the season for communicating about practices, races, and other important team information (see STEP 4 below). When registering your student athlete, please enter your student’s email address as the first email address. There is space for parent email address(es) in the later fields that follow.
For the 2025 season, the team registration fee is $425.00. Please let us know if cost is a prohibitive factor. Scholarship options may be available to assist. The team registration fee covers:
- the “Team Package” which you will order in STEP 2 below; and
- team operational costs, including team building activities, calories for practice, bike maintenance supplies, team trailer costs, race-day equipment and food, IT costs, and much more.
STEP 1A – For RIDE LEADERS ONLY:
The team needs dedicated adult ride leaders to assist each week with practice to ensure student athlete safety and to provide coaching and mentoring. Ask anyone who has been a ride leader previously…it is an amazing opportunity to interact with the riders and to stay fit!

STEP 2:
Order Team Uniform (by April 4, 2025)
Alta Mountain Bike Team uniforms are designed and manufactured by DNA Cycling. DNA is one of our benevolent sponsors. Every year they go out of their way with design, sizing help, getting the gear manufactured, and delivering the finished product to us. And every year the results are great!
After you register in TeamSnap (Step 1 above), you will receive an email with a coupon code for ordering the Team Package. Please give us up to 24 hours to get the coupon code email out to you after you finish the TeamSnap process. Once you receive that email, the included coupon code will make it possible for you to order the Team Package without having to pay DNA Cycling (since the uniform fee is covered in the registration fee you already paid in TeamSnap).
Once you receive the Team Package email with the coupon code, the email will also contain a link to our DNA Team Store to order your Team Package, which includes a team jersey and bibs (shorts), a team t-shirt, team socks, and a water bottle. There is a size guide in the team store that will help you know how to properly size for your uniform. You can also contact DNA Cycling to arrange to try the gear on:

In addition to the Team Package, there are many other optional items available in our DNA Team Store if you are interested in purchasing some additional amazing gear. While the Team Package is required for every student athlete in order to participate on the team, anything else you decide to purchase shows the world you have excellent judgment and style!
STEP 3:
Register with the Utah High School Cycling League (by April 30, 2025)
In addition to registering to be on the team (STEP 1), each student also needs to be registered with the Utah High School Cycling League, which is an affiliate of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association or “NICA”. Each season, all student riders must sign up at NICA’s Pit Zone website (including returning riders). For the 2025 season, league fees are $390.00. This fee covers the required NICA and Utah League memberships and is used for insurance for all practices and regional races.
The Pit Zone is an invitation only registration system. When your coach invites you to register with the team for the first time, you will then receive an invitation email from the NICA Pit Zone. If you don’t receive the signup link, check with your coach to make sure they invited you with the correct email address.
Once you receive your invite, click on the invitation link, follow the registration process, filling in all information. Make sure to sign the electronic waivers and pay your league registration fees. You will not be “Practice Ready” until your waivers are signed and your league fees are paid. STEP 4:
Download TeamSnap App (ASAP)
After registering for the team on TeamSnap (from STEP 1 above), each registered student will have a TeamSnap account on the team’s TeamSnap page. In addition, parents can have their own TeamSnap account to be in the loop on the most recent developments. The team uses TeamSnap to communicate about practices, races, and other relevant team information.
